The inaugural Lacerlot gown, the first design ever made, is named in honor of Bill Cunningham, who is one of the most wonderful fashion photographers and humans to walk/bicycle this planet. Caitlin, our founder, created and wore this same gown to a gala in NYC. She snuck in the side entrance if the ballroom to avoid attention, but Bill noticed the gown and left his position at the red carpet to follow her and capture a photo of this dress. Bill made Caitlin feel like both Cinderella and her own Fairy Godmother simultaneously, and Lacerlot was born.
The Bill Gown is stitched with white floral thread embroidery on translucent tulle and hand-embroidered with thousands of white beads and sequins.
